Jasmine padded in head drooping low in the heat. She was sweating and was unsure if she could go on any longer. She kept walking on though. She smelled a far away scent of water and it gave her hope. She continued trotting on until she could see a faint glimmer. She picked up her pace in hope. Finally she reached the river. What a sight. She bent down and took a long lap. The cool water refreshed her dried out throat. Soon she couldn't take it anymore and she stepped gracefully into the water. It felt so nice and cool against her soaked and overheated body. She let out a sigh of pleasure and kicked around the water. What fun this was. It felt wonderful too. Her slim frame glided through the water until she had swam all that she possibly could. She swam back to shore and shook dry soon finding a tree to lie under and relax. Maybe she would find someone to talk to.
